How can I retrieve information about the block that is 10 blocks behind the current head of the blockchain?

You can call /blocks/head~10 (following the notation from git)

Similarly, when using `tezos-client`, you might use `./tezos-client -block head~10 ...`

The current syntax (betanet and beyond) is this:

./tezos-client rpc get /chains/main/blocks/head~10
